I give thanks daily, not for mere riches, but for wisdom with which to recognize, embrace, and properly use the great abundance of riches I now have at my command. In Honor of Maya Angelou (peace poem)

In honor of the life of celebrated poet and activist, Maya Angelou, who we’ve featured many times in our blogs, here is one of her most iconic poems, I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings. She passed yesterday at the age of 86, and her family issued this statement: “She lived a life as a teacher, activist, artist and human being. She was a warrior for equality, tolerance and peace.”
