Gratitude Prayer by Napoleon Hill (Happy Thanksgiving!)

I give thanks daily, not for mere riches, but for wisdom with which to recognize, embrace, and properly use the great abundance of riches I now have at my command. I have no enemies because I injure no man for any cause, but I try to benefit all with whom I come in contact by teaching them the way to enduring riches. I have more material wealth than I need because I am free from greed and covet only the material things I can use while I live.

The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

This post first appeared in the Modern Day Mastery blog here.
In honor of the life of celebrated poet and activist, Maya Angelou, who we’ve featured many times in our blogs, here is one of her most iconic poems, I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings. She passed yesterday at the age of 86, and her family issued this statement: “She lived a life as a teacher, activist, artist and human being. She was a warrior for equality, tolerance and peace.”

There is no better way for us here at 10 Million Clicks For Peace to extend our wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year than sharing this wonderful poem by the author of The Dash, Linda Ellis. Make it a stellar 2014!
Time of Your Life
Do you reflect upon the years gone by
as you prepare for yet one more,
with promises and resolutions
that you have made before?
Do memories of people and places
once as sharp as any knife
now blend in bits and pieces
in a kaleidoscope of life?

Whereas the wounded self can never do the work
of the self healed, I pray that God will give us guidance
and never forsake us, yes, even though the world around us
should crumble and should quake;
I pray for a kinder day, that reason should prevail,
that we should recover and recoup from wounds too severe
for mere mortals to contemplate and to bear;
I pray for peace in our homes and in our lands,
for the Mercy of all Creation to shower down upon us,
that our worst of days and our best of days should be difficult
to differentiate one from the other;
I pray for the Earth, the Mother of us all,
no more to be neglected , assaulted, and assailed; Read more

You suppose you are the trouble
But you are the cure
You suppose that you are the lock on the door
But you are the key that opens it
It’s too bad that you want to be someone else
You don’t see your own face, your own beauty
Yet, no face is more beautiful than yours.

Thanks to our dear friend and supporter, John Harricharan, for letting us know that the famous poem by Rudyard Kipling, “IF” was available on YouTube. In this vintage film footage famed British actor, Robert Morley, recites the iconic poem. If you are not that familiar with Rudyard Kipling, he was English author and poet probably best known for his book, The Jungle Book.
The poem appears below the inspirational video. Read more

A wonderful inspirational poem by Rumi:
When the ocean
comes to you
as a lover,
marry at once,
quickly
for God’s sake!
Don’t postpone it!
Existence has no better gift.
No amount of searching
will find this.

You are not lost,
you are only dreaming.
Your heart is not broken,
it is only your vision
that is bruised.
You are not blind,
you are simply looking
out instead of in—
and even though
you feel lonely,
you are not alone, my Love,
you have only imagined
a great span of time
and distance between us—
you have only envisioned
a great space
between the seasons of
the autumn moon
and the summer sun,
yet there are no miles
nor are there any minutes
in eternity.
And, so …my Love,
without time
and without distance—
without anything between us—
would it not be true
that You and I
are One? Read more
