Gratitude Prayer by Napoleon Hill (Happy Thanksgiving!)

I give thanks daily, not for mere riches, but for wisdom with which to recognize, embrace, and properly use the great abundance of riches I now have at my command. I have no enemies because I injure no man for any cause, but I try to benefit all with whom I come in contact by teaching them the way to enduring riches. I have more material wealth than I need because I am free from greed and covet only the material things I can use while I live.

Here is some spiritual humor to make you think, and smile:
A gambler once said to the Master, “I was caught cheating at cards yesterday, so my partners beat me up and threw me out of the window. What would you advise me to do?”
The Master looked straight through the man and said, “If I were you, from now on I would play on the ground floor.”
This startled the disciples. “Why didn’t you tell him to stop gambling?” they demanded.

The Earth is our Mother, care for her.
Honor all your relations.
Open your heart and soul the the Great Spirit.
All life is sacred, treat all beings with respect.
Take from the Earth what is needed and nothing more.
Do what needs to be done for the good of the all.
Give constant thanks to the Great Spirit for each new day.
Speak the truth: but only of the good in others. Read more

A powerful spiritual article by 10 Million Clicks For Peace member and contributor, spiritual teacher, Tony Samara:
The only permanent thing in life is the impermanence and constant change in all levels, which, many times (if not all times), is beyond our sense of control. This is when it is quite clear that our egos are only here to serve a very specific task, which is beyond the structure that holds together the power of the unknown and the mystery of existence.
When we are faced with adversities, great pain and suffering, the loss of our loved ones, what do we do? It is inevitable that we are taken by our intrinsic fears and deep-rooted emotions and we spin in realms that we do not really want to be in and that in a way are only a creation of the mind. If the mind is able to see the big picture then it has a clear alignment with the driving force that leads us all to experience the purity that existence brings us on a daily basis. Read more
Best of Blog: The Meaning of Compassion

“I would like to explain the meaning of compassion which is often misunderstood:
Genuine compassion is based not on our own projections and expectations, but rather on the rights of the other: irrespective of whether another person is a close friend or an enemy, as long as that person wishes for peace and happiness and wishes to overcome suffering, then on that basis we develop a genuine concern for his or her problems. This is genuine compassion.
Usually when we are concerned about a close friend, we call this compassion. This is not compassion; it is attachment. Even in marriage, those marriages that last only a short time, do so because of attachment - although it is generally present - but because there is also compassion. Marriages that last only a short time do so because of a lack of compassion; there is only emotional attachment based on projection and expectation. When the only bond between close friends is attachment, then even a minor issue may cause one´s projections to change. As soon as our projections change, the attachment disappears, because that attachment was based solely on projection and expectation. Read more
